"Istories me arkoudes" is a Greek phrase that literally translates to "stories with bears". It implies that a story is so outrageous, so wild, that it couldn't possibly be true.
My name is Holland. In 2014, I turned down a spot in a top-rated graduate program to move 4200 miles around the world to London, England. I had never been overseas, never lived more than 45 minutes from home, and knew nobody in the country. It was an experience that challenged me and shaped me more than any other period of my life thus far, and I look back on my time there with equal parts fondness and contrition.
Now I'm back in the States, trying to sort out what post-college life looks like when you aren't hiding out in other countries and have real life responsibilities. I'll let you know when I've figured it out.
